Join us as we explore various Catholic themes found in films! In this program, you will have the opportunity to look at twenty different films across five genres, spanning from the 1940s to the 2010s. The films we study are: -A Quiet Place and Prudence -Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Conscience -Casablanca and Charity -Coco and The Communion of Saints -Collateral and Compassion/False Compassion -The Count of Monte Cristo and Faithfulness -The Day the Earth Stood Still and Instructing the Ignorant -The Dark Knight and Righteousness -Doubt and Counsel -Hairspray and Justice -Harry Potter and Light & Darkness -The Hunger Games and A God-less Society -The Incredible Hulk and Temperance -The Incredibles and Fortitude -Inside Out and Child-like vs Adult Thinking -My Fair Lady and Human Dignity -The Sound of Music and Following God's Call -Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan and Self-Sacrifice -Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi and Redemption -To Kill a Mockingbird and Truth This package includes a video lesson for every film in our course and all of our downloadable digital workbooks (one for each genre) of Scripture and Catechism references, synopses of every film, and reflection/discussion questions related to each lesson.
